Stop-and-go system on Japhta K Masemola Road

On Wednesday 14 September 2022, the City’s Road Infrastructure Management Department will have a stop-and-go system in place at JK Masemola Road in Khayelitsha to allow the surfacing of a section of the road.
The surfacing work is part of the construction of the Makhaza Public Transport Interchange (PTI) in Khayelitsha, currently underway.
Nyanda Avenue and Fukutha Road will be affected by the stop-and-go operations.
Motorists will still have access to the road, however, we appeal to them, where possible, to please consider using alternative routes to avoid unnecessary delays and congestion.
